After finally getting to bed c3.45am some crazy guys & gals were still up & made it down for breakfast some 5 hours later!! As previous successful years we will be at Blackpool & the cost is about £42/£44 depending on band cost etc. The date is the Saturday - 20th Dec & the invite is open to all HOC members, friends, neighbours etc, the more the merrier. | Comments: | Just a quick note of thanks for all the HOC members who turned out on our last official rideout on Sunday.The ride to Lake Vyrnwy (Wales) took in some fantastic roads & for 80% of the time the weather was fine. The roads were all types from fast motorways, undulationg fast A roads, to single track lanes over the Snowdon mountins !! After 160 miles of rideout our total mileage was 230 miles which is a good day out for anybody. Photos will be on this sight soon. What a brilliant day and what a great bunch of people. Despite playing half a set of songs they had just heard from the very impressive Sticky Fingers (and Colin led me to believe they were only amateurs!) your people still gave us a rousing reception. What a faboulous place and a great pub run by Andy and his team. All the staff were superb all day. Hope you will have us back next year or for any other do's planned. From the ride up on the Friday afternoon, to getting wet on the Monday afternoon, all went pretty well !!
The hotel was excellent & Mick & Kath really looked after us. The bands on Friday & especially on Saturday were superb !! The 2 rideouts we had were excellent with some 500 miles covered within the 4 days.
Thanks go to the Northern Harley Club members who came with us & I think from what you have said you really enjoyed it. Likewise your company was excellent with many new friends being made.
I hope you all got home OK on the Monday (& Sunday - Mark, Lyn, Colin & Steff) & you'll be glad to know it's in the diary for next year ....already !!.

Great idea of Tony's re looking through old piccies I've found one from my 19th birthday on my Suzuki X7 and I was also in need of a hair cut believe it or not. It also got me thinking about some of the great times and people I've met and, yes, the best times I remember were actually on my first bike which was a Suzuki AC50 (not strictly a moped, no pedals)Reg VTD 8L bought for £95 in 1976. | Comments: | Hi Rob, This weekend I changed the Engine Oil and Primary Chain Oil, on my 2005 model 1450. So what? well instead of the usual stuff that the Motor Company extols upon us to use, I used Q8 Fully Synthetic 10-50s in the Engine and Primary. The smoothness of the Engine is unbelievable, and the Motor actually seems to pick up and go faster! Thought some of your HOC mates might find the info useful. Best regards Stan. |
